With the exception of someone swiping the screen and pressing a play button, you really don’t see any other interaction between the user and the Surface. Contrast that with the iPad commercials.
Most of the video is focused on people actually interacting with and using the iPad. The ad for the Surface is more about having the tablet as an object. My guess would be that’s because the Surface interface is probably lacking the polish and simplicity of the iPad.

]]>Fire at Hubig’s Pies
Damn. One of the world’s greatest cities can only take so much. Hubig’s Pies has been an iconic institution of New Orleans since 1922 but early Friday morning it burned to the ground. Truly sad. Hubigs was still in its original building located in the historic Faubourg Marigny neighborhood. Luckily, in true Nola style, there has been an outpouring of support and the owners are already planning a come back. From the website-
On behalf of the Hubig’s Pies family we would like to thank
everyone for all of the love and support we have received throughout the years and during this difficult time…We are blessed to be part of such a resilient community and we send our immense gratitude to all of the first responders who “put this out with their tears.” We will continue to update you on our progress. “REBUILD RESTORE REHUBIG’S, WE WILL NOT LOSE OUR FLAVOR!“With Love, The Bowman and Ramsey Families.
Go to their online store and buy a t-shirt or a sweatshirt and support the reHubig-ing.
