Unfortunately this has been hijacked to mean that every option no matter how discredited or downright silly stills need to accommodated despite its absurdity. This post in the Bad Astronomy Blog over at Slate is a wonderful piece of writing explaining why accommodation to clearly asinine stances is something that needs to cease.
