People being bummed out or not having anything to do, so what do they do, they ride a skateboard or they make art or they write a letter to god even though…you know god won’t read the letter. So there’s just nothing, there’s nothing much you can do in life except for do art and skate.

Mark Gonzales can draw better and more expressive than we can without even looking. And without a table. Check him out drawing to an audio clip about Willem De kooning. Then buy a bottle of Jack Daniels and do some drawing.

Skateboard Deck Shapes

For those who came into the skate world post 80′s, you’ve probably only skated the equilateral, utilitarian shaped deck. While great for function it lacks in form. This is an awesome, nostalgic chart showing how crazy and different board shapes used to be. All I used to do in middle school was draw shapes and graphics for my pro model I was so sure would get put out one day. Shout out to Mario Desa, tattoo artist extraordinaire, for passing our designs back and forth during class.
