It’s always great to see good things happen for amazing artists and all around good guys. With that, cheers to José Parlá and the Barclays Center on the new 10 ft. x 70 ft. (i.e. LARGE) mural, Diary of Brooklyn, just released over the weekend. Brooklyn is lucky to have such an epic artist that calls it home.

For this installment we bring you the southern gentleman, Sigh. It’s funny cuz I came into his work knowing nothing about him and just randomly stumbled upon a piece of his while on a 3 hour stop through Richmond. Then I started seeing him more and more up on freights and realized I’d seen him before. Apparently some haters call him a biter but style is style and what writer didn’t come up copying others until it became their own? Nothing new under the sun. Sigh colors outside the lines and got style and puts in work. Done.

Snapback Crackerjack Jah Jah Brown

Opening Ceremony did a great little interview with Jah Jah about his fiendish collecting of snapbacks and the based-god bart man Simpson. Mr. Brown aka Rev. Mcfly aka Ben Robey aka Blacktop Caramel aka the new school Fonz is not only widely known for his wallies, ghosts, and being in NinjaSonik and Wild babies but most importantly is an OG founder of this little Common Folk Collective. And yes, he has been heard mumbling in a chipped toof manner about “not giving a shit about shoes, fuck shoes. All I care about is hats. And fuck water, don’t dilute my body’s alcohol.”
