Real People Own Real Art, 20x200

I'm a huge fan of accessible art both in the physical and the mental. Obviously there's something to having an original piece that no one else has but there are a millions of 'obviously's' out there. Yet, real people can still get real art. Last year Gallery Hanahou put on a show and all the prints were $12, they were prints and they were small-ish but I came away buying 3 of them. Proud new art owner/collector.
Just came across 20 x 200, a Jen Bekman project.

ESPO be mine

Came across this randomly while surfing the internets, actually I'm pretty sure it was while trying to find a flick of that ever so adorable Yarah Bravo. Or was it Joyo Velarde? Either way they both fly and fit the whole Success m.o.
I digress, ladies have a way of making that happen.

Shoe Head meet Coraline

Come January I am usually bundled up, inside, and sipping on hot toddies til the first sign of spring. I also end up anxiously awaiting for my next red envelope from netflix. I love movies like the next person but $10+ movie tickets and crowded megaplexes have kept me away from the silver screen. Next month, however, I will be splurging on myself and my man to watch Coraline, the stop-motion film adaption of Neil Gaiman's children's classic. Its scary in the kid with an imagination gone wild kind of way.
