Tomorrow is another grand day of celebrating those brick and mortar stalwarts of independent music. Seriously, record stores are a part of music culture and provide a tangible element that can never be gleamed from the internet, as great of a resource as it can also be (I’m not so much of a luddite that I believe record stores and the internet have to be completely diametrically opposed). The point, go have fun! Lot’s of places are having special giveaways and in-store performances and Record Store Day only releases that are only available at participating stores (and not online). Check out RecordStoreDay.com to find a place near you (they’ve also got listings for those of you “across the pond”) and following are some highlights of the special releases coming out (a lot more after the break)-
