With Apologies to Paul Simon

Via my college roommate:
“Systems of accreditation do not assess merit; merit is a fiction created by systems of accreditation…. Our elaborate, expensive system of higher education is first and foremost a system of stratification, and only secondly—and very dimly—a system for imparting knowledge.”
-from Death by Degrees

When I think back
On all the crap I learned in college
It’s a wonder
I can think at all
And though my lack of education
Hasn’t hurt me none
I can read the writing on the wall

Internet
You give us those nice funny memes
You give us the greens of Pantone
Makes you think all the world’s a sunny day, oh yeah!
I got a MacBook computer
I love to post a blog
So Mama, don’t take my Internet away
