Citizens United in 2012

Frontline has an excellent piece (now streaming online) about the unintended consequences of the Citizen’s United ruling. Theoretically, political speech should be regulation free and Citizen’s United doubles down on freedom, striking down limits on corporate and individual contributions. The problem is that massive amounts of anonymous money (essentially corporate electioneering), thrown into local political races, leads to — surprise! — massive corruption.
