Artists We Dig: GoddoG

Hailing out of France comes a young artist (Flickr profile reads: “Young artist // no kids, no dog but a pretty woman, and a beautiful home”) armed with a fierce arsenal of geometric shapes and color. While most of his creations are living large, literally, on walls of buildings he also has the uncanny ability to transform them into prints that look dope framed on the wall of a living room. As many of us know, this transition doesn’t always translate very well with a lot of graffiti/muralist artists whose work only feels really right when it’s in a very specific urban environment. He’s got a little Doze Green, a little Kid Acne, a little Roa, and a whole bunch of his own style. If you’re digging any of these by any means you need to check out his Flickr (where all these photos are from) for a lot more, here.

Tuesday Forecast

Hey, hey kids. Another freakin week. Vex Ruffin, great lo-fi, punk approach to sampling and hip hop. The Thing, a great punk approach to jazz. Bun B is a hip hop standard, and while I’m admittedly not familiar with Kid Tsunami apparently the rest of the hip hop classics conglomerate is cuz his album features almost all of them including Kool Keith, Sean P, Prince Po, OC, Masta Ace, Thirstin Howl III, J-Live, Sadat X, Bahamadia, AG, Kool G. Rap, KRS, Buckshot, Pharoahe Monch, Jeru the Damaja, and more. Damn. The rest of the new releases run the gamut from from hip hop to kooky house to bordering on really cheesy japanese jazzy/funky/electronic. Womp womp.

Healthcare.gov, CMMI, Project Management and Other Shit

If I read more article about how the author would have approached Healthcare.gov differently and launched a seamless project I might catch an assault charge. Building big ass software systems is hard as fuck and if you had the ability to pull it off like you think you wouldn’t be ranting about it on a blog because you’d be too busy getting shit done.
