There has been a lot of coverage lately about the two Republicans who now support same-sex marriage and how they are admirable for breaking party lines. I’m calling bullshit. You shouldn’t be admired because you support same-sex marriage, you shouldn’t be admired for supporting opposite-sex marriage. These are subjects that everyone should take as a given. My best guess is that these politicians realize the tide has changed and are just hedging their bets.
If anything you should be ostracized for not supporting same-sex marriage, just like you’d be mocked for not knowing how to tie your shoes and being the pro-slavery candidate.
