Well here’s my internet annoyance for the day. I don’t think the Israel/Palestine conflict is anything near something that can fit into a slogan. On either side. I think this is a conflict in which no matter what you say you’re probably part right part wrong…But what I will say is that it’s far from a Hero to blow up a bus of innocent civilians just trying to get to their shitty jobs, no matter what side it is. Check yourself.
Energy Savings
The oil platform explosion makes we wonder why I can get a new light bulb (LED) that uses about 1/10th the energy, lasts 40 times as long and over the long term costs about 1/4 of the price of old light bulb (incandescent) but a car’s fuel economy has barely doubled?
I also wonder why the electric companies have great incentives and encourage you to save electricity, think of all of the rebates for energy efficient appliances, yet the best a gas station can do is give you a few cent discount on gas if you use their credit card.
French Homophobes
It turns out that a French protest against gay marriage looks pretty much like a pro-gay-rights protest in the United States. Look at all these young, attractive, progressive looking people. Even the French Nationalists look sort of cool.
