Krink/Montana Fire Extinguisher In A Can- The K-750

Krink_K750_Invite_5601

“750ml/25oz of premium quality matte finish paint and is capable of creating lines 4M/12’ tall! A unique Krink concept paired with Montana’s advanced engineering, the K-750 sets a new standard in innovation.”

Damn, a lot less conspicuous than hauling around an old fire extinguisher.

Writer Highlight Special: R.I.P. To Nekst

The graffiti world has lost another king, another too young king. I saw something on the internet a couple days ago but waited to believe anything until I talked to someone who actually knew. I didn’t know him personally but it also seemed like there would always be newer and more epic Nekst pieces popping up. He will always be remembered not only as a prolific bomber but for his fair share of pieces and freights and trackside rollers as well. Everything got hit. And got hit BIG.

All I can say is that hopefully in his life and death, there’s a lesson for all. Go big while you got it and live to keep getting it.

This first pic is from a piece done when I was working across the street on the Bowery and the first time I really opened up to him being a major player in doing big things, and doing them in very insanely high profile spots.

The fine folks at Artillery Magazine say “This video could change your life…if you let it.” I say let it! Graffiti expressionism, these guys are ballin out. Haha.

To me graffiti has always been about expression and you can’t get too much more expressive than this. I put this right up there with straight up letter pieces and a lot more fun than a good amount of them too. Practice the history but keep pushing it forward likewise.

Missed Out: READ MORE’s Show @ Ditch Projects

reader1

For obvious reasons I try to keep up with my favorite artists, for unobvious reasons I completely missed out on hearing about Reader’s newest gallery show (granted it was in Springfield, OR (?)). Luckily, better late than never, I came across a post about it at Vandalog. Reader, Read More, OYE, Rancour, Boans, Books etc. etc. is killing it, inside and out.

You can also check out photos of the whole show at Ditch Projects.

Tracy 168 T2B

Wildstyle (complex, interconnecting graffiti lettering) innovator Tracy 168 passed on this morning. He was a true New York legend whose influence is incalculable.

The Vandal’s Bedroom

Henrik Haven sent some pics to fecalface of a new Todd James (aka Reas) exhibit for the gallery V1 in Copenhagen. The Vandals Bedroom is insane and a little bit of a wet dream for any graffiti ‘enthusiast’. Check out the fecalface post on it to get a grip more pics with a ton of close ups of the black book pages featuring that REAS charm.
